Sometimes the love story of a couple or the way that a family shoot makes me feel needs to be expressed in more than pictures.  Sometimes it is important to explain certain aspects of a shoot to potential clients in more than a simple FAQ post.  For such times these blog articles will fill the gap.

  • Aaaahhh, home weddings! ❤️❤️❤️
  • This is a pretty basic pic (from a technical point of view) but so loaded with emotion for the couple. Having seen what they have shared on social media since the event, I know that it’s one of their favorites. It’s one of my favorites too! Sometimes the simple ones are the best ones. Life lesson!
  • Your first moment walking hand in hand as a married couple - it’s a magical one! Congratulations Danielle&Dennis
  • 🎶 🎵 Love love me do, you know I love you. I’ll always be true. So pleee-eee-eee-eeeaaassseee. Love me do!
  • I’ve been so so lucky to have had @shannongracephotography working with me for the past 3.5 years. Feelings of familiarity and comfortability have allowed me to perform at my best. Friendship has made every job I’ve done with you a pleasure! .
Thank you Shan. You know what I need before I ask for it, you take beautiful photos, you’re spontaneous and flexible, you’re a great navigator (and you never get cross with me for not having directions to where we are going). I’m so so happy that you’re getting busy with your own business now and I can’t wait to see you FLOURISH.
You may not work every single wedding with me now, but it just makes the times we spend together so SO special. .
  • More of Katie and Nick 💕
  • Just a tearful groom over here. @nwtarthur @katemlund
  • CONGRATULATIONS to Katie and Nick on their marriage. ❤️ @katemlund @nwtarthur @delishsisters ⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀
I owe you guys a huge thank you! You giggled your entire way through the portrait session, which was only 20 minutes. In order to respect your wishes for a quick portrait session, I had to ditch my ‘shot list’ and go with the flow - your flow - on your wedding day!! ⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀
Thank you for this reminder... That the wedding day (although so loaded with emotion and plans and budgets) is about something much more real and pure than all of that. JOY! Thank you for your joyful-ness 🌼
  • This is gonna COMPLETELY screw with my beautiful Instagram feed so I’ll most likely delete it tomorrow 🤣 but I want to share @letstalkworkshops with you. -
Besides being a photographer, I coordinate workshops. I love my photography work, but I also really enjoy teaching and ‘giving back’ to the community. With Let’s Talk I’m able to share my knowledge of photography and business with other professionals who might be going through the same challenges I’ve experienced in the past.
I’ve presented at one of them, but most are presented by other people - industry experts. Workshops take place at a variety of venues and on all kinds of topics that relate to running your own business - book keeping, marketing, cyber law, branding, social media, SEO etc.
Im so lucky to be able to branch into another line of work while still be furiously passionate and dedicated to my photography business.
I feel like I hit the career jackpot.
